TIPS & TRIVIA

At Disney World You can find some unique Character Dining experiences.
The little ones will have great fun meeting they're favourite Disney Characters.
We have dined at all the Character restaurants over the years. The kids love it & get to to interact with they're favourite Disney characters.
Most of the Character experiences are buffets, which we all really enjoy.
One of the little ones is a real picky eater, at these we always find something she likes. The variety of food is normally quite diverse at the buffets.
If you are deciding on doing the Character dining restaurants , make sure you book a reservation. They start taking reservations 180 day's in advance.
The character restaurants are very popular & will be fully booked pretty quick at the 180 day mark.
The worse thing you don't want to happen is have disappointed kids on holiday.
A great Character experience & 1 of our favourites is Mickey's Back yard BBQ at Fort Wilderness camp ground.
The kids get to dance with the characters which is great fun.
Due to it being held outdoors, weather is a factor and it may not be available year-round
The experience is a Signature credit which takes 2 table service credits.
Now I know some people will say a BBQ is not worth it, but it's an all you can eat & drink buffet. For adults there is alcohol included & the tip is part of the cost.
We have been here on 2 occasions & both times had a great time.
The BBQ & shows last for about 2 hours with entertainment & character meet & greets constantly happening during the time you are there.
There are fridges with mickey ears ice cream & the Strawberry shortcake is delicious.
Another favourite of the kids is the 1900 park fare character Breakfast. Here you can meet Alice, the mad hatter, ugly sisters & a few other characters.
Each of the different character dinners will have a variety of characters.
We enjoy doing them as a way of beating the long lines at character spots.
You can sit down have a meal & a drink while you wait for them to visit you.
The characters will visit your table & pose for photos with all the family if required.
