Dining At the Crystal Palace Magic Kingdom

There are a number of Restaurants that we love at Disney World, but the Crystal Palace has some great memories for us as a family.

The reason for this is the 100 acre wood Characters you get to meet & them being some of our families favourite Characters.

Here you will find — Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger! The Crystal Palace is a buffet restaurant in an amazing location: it's in the middle of the Magic Kingdom & was built to resemble England’s Crystal Palace, which was built in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Crystal Palace offers some of the best buffet food on property. It’s a great place to start your day in the Magic Kingdom or finish your day.

Before we go into the Crystal Palace there is a great photo opportunity you can have with the castle in the back ground.

As there is a fence at your backs sloping down to the water, the photo does not have all the crowds around you like Main Street or directly in front of the Castle.

.

Once you arrive at the Crystal Palace Guests must wait outside on the veranda until their table is ready. Above your head large ceiling fans slowly move the air around keeping the Floridian heat down. Inside is full of greenery, with the palace being bright with light streaming through the windows.

Once inside you will be taken either left or right of the main Entrance. The buffet is in the centre of the room at the back.

The theme of the meal is Friendship Day & as you look around the room you will see different homemade decorations around the place.

Your server will come up & take drink orders then inform you which way the Characters tour the room.

Once that is done you can visit the buffet as many times as you like.

I personally love the food on offer here. The variety is quite extensive with what I believe is something for everyone.

BBQ Pork Tenderloin

Carved Meats like Ham & Beef

Fried Chicken

Pasta

Seasonal Fish

Soups

An array of Vegetables

Salads.

There is a great little area for Kids Called Pooh Corner, where the serving station is lowered for them to serve them selves.

My 2 favourite dishes at The Crystal Palace are The Poached Salmon & peel your own Prawns

What ever your taste there should be something for all.

The main reason you are here though is the characters & they do come around regularly & fairly quick.

We have ate here for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner over the years and have always had a great Meal.

The overall feel of the place is Family Friendly & it has to be. The theme has been geared towards entertaining the children. This is done well.

Every hour all the Characters come out & take the kids on a celebration dance around the room.

But if you are looking for a quiet meal this is not for you!.

If you are determined it should be in your to do list on vacation, make sure you book that Advance Dining Reservation before you go.

As you may not be able to get a table when you are at Disney World.

If you are dining here in the evening try & get a window seat. Because if you book it for the right time you may be able to eat & watch the fireworks from here.
